Acton House

This listed 4 storey Georgian detached country house required careful restoration throughout along with some minor internal alterations to the layout and a modest extension to the rear entrance area. The work was carried out in collaboration with McCollum Conservation. The building has been noted by Historic Environment as of “National significance” due to the unusual oval shaped dining room and how this can be seen expressed in the rear elevation. The works also encompassed the restoration of the buildings basement featuring a brick vaulted ceiling, with the extension providing improved internal access to this level.

This project was carried out in partnership with McCollum Conservation. See more of their work here
