Situated on an idyllic plot on the shore of Sketrick Island in Co Down, this simple 2 bedroom cottage was designed and built to Passivhaus standards. The ground floor held the bedrooms, bathroom and storage while the first floor was an open plan kitchen, living and dining space. Material choices externally were natural but robust, and internally simple white walls contrasting with the exposed structural Douglas Fir.
